It's wider to accommodate the AK mags, and there are 2 rounded lugs on the bolt to accommodate the AK mags as well. I just sent my ks47 that I just bought back for a refund. I love the gun but too many weird issues. Intermittent light strikes, buffer roll pin always coming out on one side, even with a different buffer and spring. Horrible magazine fitment issues with magpul mags, the mag paddle didn't always lock, etc..

In terms of the bolts on KS47's, it's not necessarily the bolt that's the issue. It's the extractor.The ARAK-21 upper receiver, like other standard AR upper receivers, will not work with the PSA KS47 lower receiver without modification of the upper receiver, bolt carrier, and bolt.
